Animo are not your average new band - comprising some of Bali’s most talented jazz musicians, this pop-jazz outfit has hit the ground running, with a complete album under their belt as well as two video clips. And it’s great stuff too, as this gig at Hard Rock Cafe confirmed. Opening act Efek Rumah Kaca opened up before the members of Animo appeared - Ami Rosady (Vocals), Eko Wicaksono (Keyboard), Jeko Fauzi (Guitar), Eko Sumarsono (Bass), Affan Lattanete (Percussion), Agus Mantoro (Drums). Determined to put on a stellar show, the band invited Japanese saxophonist Chika Asamoto and Saharadja trumpeter Rio Sidiq as guest musicians…the place was packed and Animo proved they are much more than just savvy marketing with a beautiful set of jazz lounge.
